Chartwells Makes Changes
"CHANGE IS IN the air—in the main cafeteria in the University Centre, at least. Within the past six months, Chartwells, partnered with the University of Ottawa’s Food Services, has implemented numerous changes to both their menu and décor.
The changes to the cafeteria include a variety of new venue options such as Quiznos, Bento Nouveau, a fresh pasta bar, and Vietnamese Noodle Bowl (PHO). In addition, there has been an added selection of foods in the On the Go refrigerator section and the soup station, as well as an increase in vegetarian and vegan meal options..."

- "I would like to offer my compliments on the University's recently renovated cafeteria. The decor is very appealing and it has become a welcoming environment. More importantly, however, the food service has improved significantly since last year. The quality of food, and number of selections available this year are great. Well done for responding to the student body's requests!"

-"I visited the Spice Station in the UCU. Normally I am wary of food services because of it's high prices and lack of options, but today I was very pleasantly surprised. Today the station was serving southwestern food. I ordered the black bean and sweet potato burrito with rice and salad. Not only was it good value for my money, but it was delicious and the service there was awesome! If food services continue to offer healthy, tasty, and affordable food served by friendly employees like today,I will definitely be visiting more often!"

Meal Plan

-"The food services on campus are great !!!! The cafeteria has different places with different kinds of food !!!It is good that there are other places where you can go and use your meal plan such as the restaurants beside the cafeteria, or even use it at Tim Hortons and Starbucks "

-"I would like to acknowledge the renovations that have been made to the Cafe over the last couple of years - it is a great improvement from my first year here. It is nice to see different ethnicities being represented through various food types and more options overall."
